Who We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for a CPA-eligible accounting professional who enjoys numbers, problem-solving, and working directly with clients.
The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently without being micromanaged. Candidates should have experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns and be ready to continue developing their tax, accounting, and advisory skills.
This role is particularly well suited for an accounting professional who is eligible to pursue CPA licensure and wants to build a career that goes beyond compliance work—with greater exposure to tax planning, client relationships, business challenges, and strategic thinking.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as this position involves regular interaction with clients, peers, and other professionals.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
- Prepare and assist with tax research and planning
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Quantify and document federal and state income tax liabilities for tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments
- Prepare, review, and/or support payroll reporting, sales tax filings, and tangible personal property submissions to ensure timely and accurate compliance
- Maintain strong client relationships
- Communicate proactively with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and meet deadlines
- Maintain a solutions-oriented approach
- Participate in assigned special projects
- Continue developing the technical and advisory skills needed for long-term professional growth and CPA licensure
- Experience with tax preparation software
- Knowledge of Quick Books and Quick Books Online
- Tax and accounting research experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Tax preparation experience with both business and individual returns
- Accounting experience
- CPA eligible — candidates must meet or be on track to meet the educational requirements for CPA licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting obtained in the United States
- Minimum 3.5 GPA
- Minimum 3 years of tax accounting experience
- Active CPA license is not required
