Key Responsibilities for the Grant Accountant:• Manage accounting activities for assigned state and federal grants
• Review and approve grant-related expenditures and procurement transactions
• Perform budget-to-actual analysis and prepare financial reports
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and posting issues
Qualifications for the Grant Accountant:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred;
Finance degree considered with strong accounting experience
• Grant accounting experience beyond accounts payable-focused responsibilities
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas
• Full-cycle accounting experience required
• Experience with Abila MIP accounting software preferred
