Job DescriptionProvides technical accounting support for specific transactions and initiatives. Evaluates the impact of complex business transactions and technical accounting matters. Applies professional judgment to manage accounting matters to conclusion. Documents the organization’s accounting position in formal technical memoranda. Ensures concurrence with external auditors on accounting positions. Leads the assessment, implementation, and compliance of new/proposed accounting standards. Presents and communicates accounting guidance to peers, senior management, and auditors.
Monitors and ensures compliance with evolving accounting guidance. Maintains professional and technical knowledge of FASB projects. Collaborates with internal teams and finance leaders on significant transactions and their accounting implications. Participates in cross-functional diligence efforts to provide technical accounting support for transactions. Assists in modeling the financial impact of significant accounting implications. Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP combined with the ability to research and propose positions on complex accounting issues [Required]
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex issues to various levels of management, cross functional teams and external auditors in a simplified manner. [Required]
- Ability to research accounting related to complex transactions [Required]
- Ability to lead, organize, and manage projects from beginning to end [Required]
- Strong leadership, organizational and problem resolution skills [Required]
- Ability to work independently and build relationships with executives [Required]
- Excellent time management skills [Required]

- 6+ years of experience with a top-tier public accounting firm [Required]
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in with exposure to complex technical accounting matters [Required]
- Healthcare Industry experience [Preferred]
- Not-for-profit industry experience [Preferred]

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) [Required]

Pay Range$96,266.14 - $
