Staff Accountant - Tax Services

BMWL is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing Tax Team in helping religious, charitable, educational, and associational organizations meet their tax compliance, planning, research, and strategic tax needs.

Responsibilities will include:

• Communicating directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide exceptional service
• Preparing tax-related information, work papers, and federal and state tax and information returns for nonprofit organizations
• Researching and analyzing technical tax issues affecting exempt organizations and their activities
• Drafting correspondence, memoranda, and other written communications addressing tax matters and compliance requirements
• Assisting with tax planning and consulting projects for nonprofit clients
• Collaborating with other team members to address client needs and deliver high-quality service
• Supporting other tax compliance, research, and client service matters as needed

While relevant tax experience is beneficial, this role is designed primarily for recent graduates and early-career professionals. We are seeking someone with strong aptitude, curiosity, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn rather than extensive prior experience.
