This position is the Senior Manager for Missiles and Fire Control Cost Accounting & Systems team at Lockheed Martin (LM). The role supports the business area while guiding a team in goal-based objectives related to the Business Area and Business Unit performance. The position is primarily responsible for leading first-line leaders. The team is responsible for accounting functions including journal entry processing and approval, reconciliations, expedited payments, payables, overhead rates, master data, intercompany, and audit support.

The candidate is expected to demonstrate full spectrum leadership attributes, champion development within the team, and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement. The position is responsible for presenting cross-functionally to multiple levels of leadership, representing the organization, and preparing the staff for presentations. They are also responsible for reviewing work from other accounting teams, coaching & developing employees, delegating appropriately, and ensures resources are available to meet deadlines.

• Managing the team and partner systems’ organizations through monthly processes
• Managing master data governance for the business area
• Leading the expedited payments process
• Ensuring the team supports Overhead analysis
• Connect with other LM finance teams supporting MFC accounting activities
• Coach, train, and feedback to the team and support a culture of continuous feedback
• Lead and execute special projects for the organization, as required

• Bachelor’s level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Month-end close, consolidation, and financial reporting experience
• Knowledge of SAP, accounting processes, and supporting multiple company codes
• Demonstrated ability to perform reviews of staff work and provide constructive feedback
• Demonstrated experience with the application of US GAAP

• Master’s degree; CPA or CPA candidate
• 15+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Experience leader at LM
• Experience in or coordinating with the FP&A function
• Demonstrated experience with Accounting Systems leadership or support
• Demonstrated experience with Financial Statement, Orders, Sales reporting at LM
• FLDP and/or ALDP graduate

Full-Time Salary Range: $134900.00 - $250500.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
