Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Controller:
- Partner with the Controller to oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Review WIP schedules, over billings, under billings, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting
- Support annual audits and serve as a primary liaison with external auditors
- Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide recommendations to leadership
- Partner with AP, Billing, Collections, and Operations to improve processes and controls
- Drive automation initiatives and accounting process improvements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, acquisitions, and special projects
- Mentor and help develop accounting team members while preparing for increased leadership responsibilities
Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong construction accounting experience required
- Prior experience leading, mentoring, supervising, or managing accounting professionals
- Expertise in month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger, and reconciliations
- Experience with WIP schedules, over billings, under billings, job costing, and POC accounting
- Experience supporting annual audits
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
