Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare and record journal entries accurately and timely in accordance with month-end close schedules
• Compile financial results and support the month-end close process for assigned business areas
• Research and analyze financial variances to support senior accounting staff and management
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and other month-end schedules
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and report exceptions to management as needed
• Assist with annual external audits and provide supporting documentation
• Respond to budget-related inquiries and provide financial information when requested
• Support special projects, accounting system changes, and other business initiatives

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required for the Staff Accountant
• 3-5 years of accounting experience in a month-end close/general ledger environment
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Project Accounting experience preferred (WIP/CIP, POC, AIA billing, POC, etc.)
