You'll work as part of a well-structured Accounting & Finance team with hands-on responsibility for month-end close, sales accounting, balance sheet activity, expense reporting, and operational accounting.

This role is ideal for an accountant with several years of experience who wants greater ownership and exposure within a large construction or homebuilding environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant- Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, account analysis, and related reporting
- Prepare and maintain sales journal entries and ensure transactions are accurately recorded
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and research outstanding or unusual items
- Prepare recurring accounting and financial reports for leadership
- Review and process invoices while ensuring proper coding and supporting documentation
- Partner with operational and land teams regarding purchase orders, coding, and accounting-related questions
- Review and support employee expense reporting and related reconciliations
- Assist with company credit card activity, including monitoring transactions and ensuring appropriate documentation
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity and investigate accounting discrepancies
- Support additional accounting projects and reporting needs as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Homebuilding, construction, or a closely related industry accounting background strongly preferred
- Strong month-end close and general ledger accounting experience
- Experience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Familiarity with sales accounting, expense reporting, invoice processing, and account analysis
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working within accounting/ERP systems
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
- 100% onsite in Southeast Orlando
- Standard Monday–Friday business hours
