Accounting Manager

Ascend Vision Partners seeks an Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations for a fast-growing network of ophthalmology and optometry practices across the Southeast. In this role, you will own month-end close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance while managing AR, AP, and cash flow in a multi-entity environment. You will partner closely with operations and clinical leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analytics, support integration of new practices and systems, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close, general ledger, and consolidation for multi-practice operations
• Prepare and review financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls across practices and entities
• Manage AR, AP, revenue recognition, and cash flow forecasting
• Partner with operations and clinical leaders on budgeting and forecasting
• Support integration of new practices, systems, and financial processes
• Develop and refine KPI dashboards and financial analytics for leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop a small accounting/finance team
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
• Drive process improvements and automation in a fast-growth environment
