An established Mental Health treatment center in the Orlando-metro area is seeking a Finance Manager to provide strategic and operational financial leadership while maintaining responsibility for the organization's accounting and bookkeeping functions. This position oversees and performs financial activities including budgeting, financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, resident accounts, payroll coordination, cash management, month-end and year-end close, audit preparation, financial controls, and maintenance of accurate financial records. The Finance Manager works closely with the CEO and leadership team to develop, manage, and forecast the organization’s annual operating and capital budgets.

The position provides financial analysis and reporting necessary for supporting operational and strategic decision‑making. The Director of Finance also serves as a key financial liaison with third-party vendors, accounting and audit partners, banking and financial partners, residents, families and responsible parties, organizational stakeholders, and the Board of Directors. This position is responsible for preparing, interpreting, and presenting financial reports to the CEO, leadership team, and Board of Directors ensuring accurate financial records, effective financial systems, appropriate internal controls, and strong financial practices.

Job Requirements & Functions:
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field required. A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field combined with substantial relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial management, nonprofit finance, or organizational financial leadership may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management experience, preferably within the nonprofit or healthcare sector.
  • Hands‑on experience performing and overseeing core bookkeeping and accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, journal entries, bank and account reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, financial controls, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Quick Books Online and , including the ability to independently manage financial workflows, account coding, approvals, vendor payments, general ledger activity, documentation, reporting, and financial records within these systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business applications necessary to organize, analyze, and communicate financial information.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, budgets, forecasts, budget‑to‑actual reports, variance analyses, cash flow reports, accounts receivable aging reports, and other financial information.
  • Ability to present financial information clearly and accurately to individuals who may not have an accounting or financial background.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to professionally interact with leadership team, vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the organizational leadership team while maintaining direct responsibility and accountability for the organization’s financial functions.
