In this role, you'll help ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, maintain the integrity of key accounting processes, and support the timely close of each accounting period. Your work will directly contribute to financial visibility, compliance, and operational decision-making.

What You'll Do- Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure balances align with the trial balance.
- Prepare journal entries as needed and provide supporting account analysis for review.
- Research unusual accounting transactions and recommend appropriate reclassifications.
- Assist in preparing management reports that support business decision-making.
- Review monthly financial results to understand factors affecting period-end performance.
- Perform financial analysis of general ledger accounts and assist the accounting team with ongoing accounting activities.
- Prepare monthly department commission calculations for review.
- Track prepaid expenses and allocate expenses according to established accounting policies.
- Prepare and enter payroll accruals and other month-end journal entries.
- Review and maintain fixed asset records, including disposals and gains on fixed assets.
- Prepare related journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Review cost allocations to ensure direct and indirect costs are distributed accurately across departments.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining intercompany transactions.
- Review monthly bank reconciliations and accounting entries as needed.
- Participate in special projects involving the tracking, recording, reconciliation, and analysis of financial information.
- Assist accounting leadership with annual audit activities.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation as directed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience plus five years of related accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of fixed assets and commission accounting.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
