Personnel Assistant IThe Person nel Assistant I performs a variety of general personnel clerical tasks in areas such as employee records, benefits, training, staffing, compensation, labor relations, and EEO.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintain and update personnel records, including manual and automated systems.
- Process identification issuance requests and issue badges for building and system access.
- Support DoD CAC Card issuance policies and procedures.
- Operate general office equipment such as a typewriter, personal computer, copier, adding machine, and facsimile.
- Assist with education, training, employment/staffing, and compensation tasks under general supervision.
- Conduct surveys and provide updates on personnel data as required.
- Follow EEO procedures and policy administration.
No supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a Federal clearance.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years administrative military personnel experience.
- Must have a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and a favorable FBI fingerprint check or an eDoD‑determined equivalent investigation.
- Valid U.S. state driver’s license applicable to the vehicle type operated.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Ability to read and interpret instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from both internal and external sources. Ability to effectively communicate and present information to clients and colleagues.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to organize work, define and solve problems, establish and manage priorities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions based on facts. Participation in prioritization of work and decision‑making on allocation of resources.

WORK ENVIRONMENTDuties are primarily performed in an office environment, with occasional travel to off‑site projects that may involve working outdoors, in warehouses, supply points, motor pools, maintenance facilities, or similar locations.
