Shutts & Bowen, a full-service law firm serving clients locally, nationally, and internationally, is seeking a Case Clerk to work in the Orlando office.

Essential Functions
  • Manage electronic and paper case files.
  • Heavy scheduling, including but not limited to scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, telephone conferences, Zoom meetings, adjournments, and court deadlines.
  • Daily E-filing and E-service in state court.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls.
  • Experience tracking firm, attorney, and client expenses and using application software to process reimbursements and payments.
  • Strong technical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of court filing and scheduling procedures.
  • This position requires keen attention to detail and efficiency due to the high-volume workload.
  • Thorough knowledge of general office practices, policies, and business English.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize workload and adjust to changing priorities as needed.
  • Ability to type at 60 words per minute.
  • Active listening, reading, service orientation, coordination, and social perceptiveness.
  • Knowledge of office skills such as data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and composition of simple business letters.
  • Ability to organize time efficiently among a variety of duties.
  • Generally, core working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
  • Physical attendance and punctuality at the workplace.
Education And Experience
  • 1+ years previous law firm experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • State court electronic filing, knowledge of File Site is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize workload, and adjust to changing priorities as needed.
  • Friendly, cooperative manner and good team spirit.
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and move ten pounds.
  • Occasional standing, walking and movement within an office environment.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
