About This Role
Our Montessori School s seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented
Administrative Assistant to join our small, close-knit team. We are a small private school that values child-centric education, guided by the principles and philosophy of Maria Montessori. We aim to provide a hands-on learning environment that offers memorable experiences for children aged 3 to 12 years old. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and being part of a warm, child-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office and administrative tasks
- Answer phone calls and greet/communicate with parents (English and Spanish preferred)
- Handle basic bookkeeping and record-keeping
- Update and maintain the school website
- Manage and update social media accounts
- Provide occasional support in classrooms or with children as needed
- General support to help keep school operations running smoothly
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with website platforms (e.g., Wix, Squarespace, Word Press) and social media a plus
- Flexible, reliable, and enjoys working with children
- Prior experience in an office, school, or childcare setting is a plus but not required

What You ll Do
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office and administrative tasks
- Answer phone calls and greet/communicate with parents (English fluent and bilingual in Spanish is a plus)
- Handle basic bookkeeping, student attendance, and basic administrative record-keeping
- Update and maintain the school website, knowledge or experience with Wordpress is preferred.
- Manage and update private social media accounts
- Provide occasional support in classrooms or with children as needed
- General support to help keep school operations running smoothly
- Planning Special school event and communicating with Parent Committees
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, colleagues, and families
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Comfortable with basic bookkeeping and computer/office software such as Microsoft Office, Pages, Numbers, Google Drive, Google Docs, Canva, etc.
- Familiarity with website platforms (Word Press) and social media is a plus
- Flexible, reliable, and enjoys working with children
- Prior experience in an office, school, or childcare setting is a plus but not required
- Availability to work Monday through Friday without exceptions.
- Must be flexible and team player
- Minimum age requirement: 21 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience.
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check level 2.
- Audible voice and adequate hearing and vision are required to communicate effectively and supervise the children.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time, including bending, stooping and crouching.
