Position:
Auto Maintenance Technician II – mid-level Automotive Technician. This role may work independently or as part of a team.
Compensation:
Hourly base pay range $22.02 - $33.08 per hour. Potential additional compensation may include commissions and incentive programs.
- Perform preventive maintenance: oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, inspection of vehicles for mechanical deficiencies.
- Based on certification level, perform repairs and maintenance (OBDII systems, brake components, tires, tune‑ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, state safety inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components).
- Maintain and repair shop equipment and keep shop area clean and tidy.
- Perform work in accordance with safety standards and dispose of all fluids safely and per regulations.
- Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records.
- Fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Additional responsibilities for LevelII &III: light to major repairs, advanced vehicle diagnostics, interface with vendors for parts and repairs, provide roadside assistance.
- Use custom equipment (including welding) for moderate design/fabrication tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair specialized trucks (hydraulic systems, generators, electrical systems, hybrids, onboard computer systems).
- Interact directly with customers, exhibiting exceptional interpersonal skills to drive service center performance.
- Diagnose and repair general automotive parts and accessories (brakes, drivability, emissions, steering/suspension, electrical, state safety and emissions testing, HVAC, major engine and hydraulics).
