We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Contract Specialist to perform professional-level work in the development, review, and administration of lease agreements, addendums, and related contractual documentation within a large, complex organization. This role ensures that contractual terms accurately reflect approved booking guidelines, operational policies, financial provisions, and risk management requirements.
The Contract Specialist works closely with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and risk management personnel to ensure agreements properly protect organizational interests, including insurance, indemnification, and liability provisions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, knowledge of contract administration principles, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured and compliance-driven environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in contract administration, insurance review, business administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience developing, reviewing, and evaluating lease agreements, addendums, or similar contractual documents
- Knowledge of insurance requirements, indemnification language, and risk management principles
- Experience reviewing insurance certificates for compliance, including endorsements, waivers of subrogation, and additional insured requirements
- Experience ensuring contractual documentation complies with organizational policies, approval processes, and operational procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments, clients, vendors, and external partners to resolve contract-related issues
- Experience maintaining accurate electronic contract files and documentation within enterprise or booking management systems
- Ability to monitor receipt of signed agreements, deposits, and required documentation to ensure compliance with contract terms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct research and evaluate policies and procedures
- Experience preparing agendas, documentation, and analytical summaries for contract review meetings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with in hospitality, event management, venue operations, or sales environments
- Familiarity with contract committee or review board processes
- Experience conducting comparative policy research and recommending procedural improvements
- Knowledge of public-sector contracting or regulated environments
- Experience working with booking software systems or contract lifecycle management platforms
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to review detailed contractual and insurance documentation for sustained periods
- Minimal physical exertion
- Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Event Management, Accounting, or a closely related field
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Risk Management, or related field
- Continuing education in contract management, insurance compliance, or risk mitigation
- Professional certification related to contract management or risk management
