About the Vice President of Strategic Planning
The Vice President (VP) of Strategic Planning operates within the Corporate Strategic Planning function and will lead a wide variety of complex initiatives of major scope at the corporate, divisional and/or site level to include hospital business development, physician alignment, service line planning, and strategic market analysis. The VP will also support business development initiatives such as joint ventures, partnerships and mergers, and acquisitions activities as assigned.
This role will consist of strategic planning responsibilities for a set of Orlando Health growth regions. Responsibilities will involve setting an overall development direction for regional growth strategy considering market and financial data, available resources, industry drivers, and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Leads complex, cross-regional initiatives including structuring/managing projects, overseeing analytics process, helping to forge consensus among key stakeholders, and ensuring adequate business cases in support of strategic investment priorities.
- Leads complex projects of the strategic planning and business development function at the corporate, divisional or site level, including:
- Acute care development strategy
- Ambulatory development strategy
- Physician group affiliation strategy
- Business planning and acquisition integration
- Other major initiatives within growth regions
- Owns the growth planning process resulting in detailed goals and objectives at both the region and the individual facility level.
- Identify, structure, prioritize, and lead projects or major work streams related to OH strategy, priorities, and special initiatives.
- Identifies potential partners, including assessment of organizational fit and congruence with strategic roadmap, building a strategy for partnership alignment.
- Leads/supports work on a wide variety of partnerships at the Corporate and Region level through opportunity assessment, evaluation, transaction, integration, and monitoring.
- Performs complex business analytics including, but not limited to, internal or external financial, operational and/or market data, and is able to summarize into key findings for senior leadership and potential partners.
- Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understands business needs, market dynamics, growth opportunities, capital requirements and business operations.
- Participates in cross-functional teams and operates at all levels of the organization.
- Requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing project and stakeholder demands.
- Must have a can-do attitude with the ability to embrace ambiguity and act without perfect information.
- Must have the ability to shape vague situations into a clear framework for advancement of work product and deliverables.
- Must have the ability to work autonomously often with limited direction and supervision.
