Job Title:

Junior Business Development Associate.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.

Salary: $55,000 base salary, with eligibility for sales commissions.

The Junior Business Development Associate supports Owens Realty Services sales and operations teams by conducting onsite facility walkthroughs, collecting critical information for janitorial and facility management Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and assisting in the preparation of RFP responses. The role is ideal for a motivated, detail‑oriented individual who enjoys field work, client interaction, and learning the fundamentals of sales in the facilities services and janitorial industry.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct onsite facility walkthroughs for prospective Owens Realty Services (“ORS”) clients.
  • Collect and document detailed facility information, including:
    • Square footage and overall layout.
    • Floor types and surface areas.
    • Restroom counts and configurations.
    • High‑traffic, specialty, and critical service areas.
    • Client‑specific and site‑specific service requirements.
  • Accurately record walkthrough observations using company‑approved tools, checklists, photographs, and written notes.
  • Communicate walkthrough findings clearly to sales, estimating, and operations teams.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFP responses, scopes of work, and service schedules.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records within ORS’s CRM and internal systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate walkthroughs with property managers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel locally, regionally, and nationally as required to support business development efforts.
  • Represent ORS professionally during all client interactions, meetings, and site visits.
  • Support senior sales staff with follow‑ups, proposal coordination, and opportunity tracking.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of ORS service offerings, standards, and operational processes.
  • Monitor Bid Prime, Gov Spend, and other procurement platforms for new opportunities and present qualified prospects to the Executive Team for review and approval.
  • Manage and coordinate walkthrough schedules to ensure all approved opportunities are completed timely and no bid deadlines are missed.
  • Support the growth of ORS operations, including future office development and onboarding of additional team members.
  • Attend sales training programs, industry education seminars, and professional service‑industry organizations to support professional development and industry knowledge.
Skills Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, email, and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Reliable, organized, and team‑oriented.
  • Ability to attend and participate in day‑long onsite facility walkthroughs.
  • Ability to drive to client locations throughout the state of Florida.
  • Ability to travel by airplane as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout large facilities for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry minimal weight as needed to perform job‑related tasks.
