Position: Benefits Consultant - Hybrid (Orlando, FL)

Overview

We provide health, pharmacy, disability, vision, dental and other insurance solutions to more than 100,000 employers. The Benefits Consultant helps retain clients and manage their benefit portfolios.

Responsibilities
  • Develop sophisticated benefit design and renewal strategies and drive the use of solutions for complex client issues.
  • Work closely with account and client‑service teams on pre‑renewal strategy, RFP distribution, enrollment strategy and post‑renewal analysis.
  • Determine scope of services, establish timelines, and keep client‑service teams informed of changes.
  • Maintain accountability for revenue, profitability, scope, budget, timeliness and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee onboarding of new clients, collaborate with client‑service teams to create implementation plans.
  • Ensure client‑service teams exceed client expectations and grow the book through cross‑selling.
  • Build relationships with clients, carriers and vendors; attend carrier events for updates on plans.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of markets, funding alternatives, networks and benefit options.
  • Ensure accuracy of client data in CRM and stay current on compliance issues (HIPAA, ERISA, Tax Code, PPACA, state exchanges).
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3+ years of benefits consulting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Valid life and health insurance license.
  • Strong influence and communication skills for C‑suite engagement.
  • Attention to detail, self‑motivation, discipline and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Health Care Reform, health and ancillary insurance products, quoting processes and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database applications.
