Job Description:

* Contributes to and helps manage relevant budgets for assigned projects.

* Other duties as assigned.

* Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of communications strategies and tactics.

* Develops and executes communications strategies that position the organization, its clinicians and executives as national leaders in health care.

* Manages a variety of beats/service lines and identifies proactive stories for traditional media, social media, video, or other storytelling opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Deep understanding of the traditional media and trends in social media [Required]

* Strong storyteller with experience communicating to multiple audiences via multimedia and new media [Required]

* Holds strong relationships with local and national media [Required]

* Understands newsroom (TV, print, online, radio) operations [Required]

* Strong organizational skills and experience in a high-volume, fast-paced organization [Required]

Education:

* Bachelor's [Required]

Field of Study:

* in journalism, communications, public relations or related field

Work Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, media/public relations, journalism or equivalent combination of experience [Required]

* Experience working in a traditional newsroom or online news organization [Preferred]

* Experienced in brand journalism strategies [Preferred]
