Manages and oversees all financial and budgetary operations for assigned area of responsibility. Work is performed with limited supervision and is reviewed for achievement of desired results.
Representative Duties/AssignmentsDuties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties; it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.
- Monitors and manages all financial related activities within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Oversee the development, preparation, and administration of the Department's operating and capital budgets.
- Reviews and analyzes financial reports and prepares revenue and expenditure projections to support accurate financial forecasting and informed decision-making.
- Reviews and monitors financial agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assists with the administration of grants, including financial management, compliance reimbursement requests, and required reporting.
- Monitors revenue collections for the Department and ensures funds are properly allocated and disbursed.
- Supervises Fiscal staff and oversees the procurement of goods and services for the Department.
- Oversee stockroom operations for the entire department.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of performance measures and key performance indicators for assigned staff.
- Hires, supervises, trains, develops, and evaluates assigned employees.
- Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and five (5) years financial or budgetary development experience, or in lieu of the degree requirements additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
PreferencesSupervisor experience in the fields of financial and budgetary operations.
