Senior Fuel Portfolio Analyst
OUC - The Reliable One, is presently seeking a Senior Fuel Portfolio Analyst to join the Fuel Services division. At OUC, we don't just work – we're building a bright future of innovation and transformation for future generations.
We are looking for a strategic, highly analytical professional to provide tactical oversight and subject matter expertise across daily fuel purchasing, transportation, scheduling, and supply for OUC's electric generation plants, while administering OUC's energy risk management program and ensuring strong alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily fuel trading, scheduling, and back-office operations, analyzing natural gas, pipeline capacity, coal, and oil positions, approving complex fuel invoices, leading hedging, operational, management, and regulatory reporting (EIA 923, SERC, PSC, FEM), managing month-end/year-end close, developing annual budgets and the five-year capital plan, conducting high-level financial and operational analysis, representing OUC on FMPP committees/task forces, and mentoring junior analysts.
We are looking for a cross-functional leader with strong negotiation skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage complexity while influencing fuel strategy and process improvements across the organization. This role includes participation in a call-out rotation supporting natural gas operations. You may work some evenings during alert days or extreme weather, and rotate weekend and evening on-call coverage for operational emergencies.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field;
Master's in Business Administration or Finance preferred. - Minimum five (5) years of fuel logistics & financial analysis experience, including two (2) years of commodity trading/scheduling for a load-serving entity, and utility/energy industry experience.
- Skills in risk management, hedging, regulatory reporting, budget development, financial statement analysis, complex coal logistics, and cross-functional project leadership.
- Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and ability to interpret complex transactions, develop deep-dive reporting, and guide others.
- Preferred:
Experience with ETRM systems, continuous improvement mindset, and strong proficiency in data-driven tools (Excel automation, Power BI).

Salary Range: $117,083- $140,500 annually - commensurate with experience
