Key Account Manager (PM: Manufacturing)
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an Account Manager for a manufacturing company based in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will support business development efforts, manage client relationships, and coordinate new product and project launches from concept through commercialization. This position serves as a key link between customers and internal departments, ensuring projects remain on schedule, customer expectations are met, and business opportunities are successfully executed.

Pay Rate$28 – $31 per hour
Schedule and HoursMonday through Friday, first shift 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Account ManagerDuties & Responsibilities
- Support Business Development and Sales leadership in managing key customer accounts and new business opportunities.
- Manage project briefs from concept through development, production, shipment, and first reorder support.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
- Coordinate activities across R&D, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service teams.
- Establish, maintain, and track project timelines to ensure key milestones and deliverables are achieved.
- Monitor project activities including costing, sampling, formula approvals, packaging development, BOM creation, production readiness, and shipment schedules.
- Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical assembly documentation for new product launches.
- Ensure BOMs are production ready and submitted for Quality Assurance review and approval.
- Enter and track launch purchase orders while ensuring pricing, BOMs, and production requirements are accurate.
- Provide clients with regular project updates, status reports, meeting recaps, and action item summaries.
- Identify project risks, delays, missing information, or ownership gaps and escalates concerns as necessary.
- Drive accountability across departments to ensure deadlines and commitments are met.
- Support product launch execution and monitor reorder timing to ensure customer success and revenue growth.
- Assist with customer visits, business reviews, and strategic planning meetings.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's Degree or bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in account management, project management, customer service, manufacturing operations, or a related field preferred.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or project management software preferred.
- Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

- Ability to manage strategic project briefs and ensure projects move through the pipeline on schedule.
- Strong understanding of project coordination, product launches, and customer account management.
- Ability to improve visibility across active customer opportunities and open orders.
- Strong collaboration skills across Business Development, Project Management, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, Customer Service, and Finance teams.
- Ability to identify risks, resolve issues, and minimize project delays.
