We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in structural and miscellaneous steel for commercial and institutional projects. This role focuses on preparing accurate bids for fabrication and erection scopes
, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors.

• Analyze drawings, specs, and RFQs to generate complete takeoffs
• Prepare competitive cost estimates covering material, labor, equipment, and subcontracts
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Support bid strategy, scheduling input, and proposal development
• Maintain accurate records and cost data for future benchmarking
• Read and interpret construction drawings and steel detailing
• Demonstrate 3+ years of estimating experience in structural/misc. steel fabrication and erection
• Maintain strong Excel skills; experience with estimating software is a plus
• Familiarity with AISC standards and industry best practices
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with strong communication skills
• Experience in the Florida commercial, education, or government construction markets
• Exposure to design-build and design-assist project delivery
• Understanding of shop fabrication workflows and field erection sequencing
