A well-established and growing Florida-based commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. With decades of success across Central Florida, this organization delivers high-quality commercial and healthcare construction projects while maintaining strong relationships with owners, consultants, and trade partners.
This role is ideal for a hands-on Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of budgets and schedules, and leads teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Preconstruction & Pre-Award- Review bids, scope subcontractors, and negotiate final contract pricing
- Draft subcontractor scopes of work and coordinate subcontract issuance
- Assist with preconstruction budgeting, schematic design, and design development
- Participate in job start-up meetings to define roles, responsibilities, and workflows
- Develop and maintain master project schedules and milestone tracking
- Prepare budget setups, schedules of values, cost forecasts, and monthly reports
- Coordinate and lead preconstruction, OAC, and project management meetings
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and documentation
- Oversee all phases of construction and collaborate closely with superintendents
- Monitor quality, safety, schedule adherence, and cost control
- Review and approve subcontractor and vendor pay applications
- Anticipate and resolve issues that may impact schedule, budget, or quality
- Maintain strong communication with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and municipalities
- Ensure project closeout documentation is completed accurately and timely
- Foster long-term client and industry relationships
- 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience
- Experience with office, retail, healthcare, medical, industrial, education, assisted living, or mixed-use projects
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of construction documents, cost control, scheduling, and contracts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project, Timberline preferred)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and commitment to safety

Physical Requirements
This position requires regular presence on active construction sites and in-office collaboration. Team members must be able to walk uneven terrain, stand for extended periods, and perform routine physical activities associated with construction oversight.
