Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Construction Takeoff Estimator to work directly alongside our team in our Orlando office. Your sole focus will be executing highly accurate, multi-trade quantity takeoffs for our clients. You will not be responsible for sales, hunting for bids, or client management. Instead, you will be handed a steady stream of project plans and tasked with delivering precise measurements and material counts across various trades including:
Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Concrete, using Bluebeam Revu.
- Execute Takeoffs: Perform accurate and comprehensive quantity takeoffs across multiple construction trades (Mechanical, Concrete, Electrical, etc.) based on client-provided blueprints, specifications, and design documents.
- Bluebeam Revu Mastery: Utilize Bluebeam Revu daily to measure lengths, areas, and volumes, create custom tool sets, overlay drawings, and extract precise data.
- Data Organization: Export takeoff data and markups into clean, standardized formats (e.g., Excel/CSV) to seamlessly hand off to our clients.
- Quality Assurance: Review drawings critically to identify missing information, clarify project scopes, and ensure that no detail is overlooked before finalizing the takeoff.
- Collaborate In-Person: Work side-by-side with our core team to process workflows rapidly, maintain quality control, and adjust to changing project scopes or fast-moving client deadlines.
- Experience: 2+ years of proven experience as a Construction Estimator or Takeoff Specialist.
- Multi-Trade Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and blueprints across multiple disciplines (especially MEP and Concrete).
- Software Proficiency: Proven daily-use experience with Bluebeam Revu for takeoffs and PDF markups.
- Work Style: Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of sitting down, focusing, and executing on a steady pipeline of continuous work.
