Position: Superintendent (Interiors)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Superintendent to help consistently deliver projects on time, on budget, and that exceed client expectations. The Superintendent directly supervises the field labor force, including subcontractors and laborers/craft workers. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills and an understanding of all trades associated with commercial interior construction and high‑end renovation projects.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Oversee daily field operations to ensure site safety, progress, quality control, and housekeeping.
  • Provide guidance and direct supervision of site staff, including assistant superintendents and laborers.
  • Manage the schedule, including weekly preparation of a 2‑week look‑ahead.
  • Proactively schedule and coordinate all subcontractors to meet project schedules without additional costs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy, including financial goals, logistics, and inspections.
  • Ensure job site operations comply with design specifications and are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Maintain open communication with the project team regarding changes and deviations.
  • Partner with project management to keep an accurate project schedule reflecting status changes.
  • Lead weekly project and subcontractor meetings.
  • Manage the RFI process and track solutions through close‑out.
  • Exceed client expectations by understanding client needs and preferences.
  • Promote positive subcontractor relations and address punch list items promptly.
  • Lead the close‑out process and warranty responses in collaboration with the project manager.
Qualifications and Skills
  • At least five years of experience as a Superintendent, preferably in interior, high‑end commercial general contracting.
  • Proven record of managing complex projects in occupied spaces.
  • Capacity to coordinate multiple quick‑turnover projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications.
  • 10‑Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate.
  • 4‑Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate.
Computer Systems
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Project, and Procore (preferred but not required).
