We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Pompano, FL.
Position SummaryThe Project Engineer will support day-to-day construction operations, assist with estimating, and provide critical project coordination for the Traffic Division. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on project involvement, problem-solving, and contributing to efficient construction execution.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager with daily operational aspects of construction projects.
- Assist the estimating team with project take‑offs.
- Verify monthly subcontractor payables.
- Participate in internal scheduling meetings.
- Assist in developing operational plans and documents.
- Support the preparation of claims and documentation.
- Perform small estimating tasks as needed.
- Monitor and track productivity using company tools and systems.
- Conduct material take‑offs for active projects.
- Order, release, and track materials as required.
- Perform field observations and site visits on construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong interest in construction, project management, and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and field personnel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities.
