Our Traffic Division supports transportation and roadway projects that keep communities moving safely and efficiently. We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Pompano, FL.

Position Summary

The Project Engineer will support day-to-day construction operations, assist with estimating, and provide critical project coordination for the Traffic Division. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on project involvement, problem-solving, and contributing to efficient construction execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager with daily operational aspects of construction projects.
  • Assist the estimating team with project take‑offs.
  • Verify monthly subcontractor payables.
  • Participate in internal scheduling meetings.
  • Assist in developing operational plans and documents.
  • Support the preparation of claims and documentation.
  • Perform small estimating tasks as needed.
  • Monitor and track productivity using company tools and systems.
  • Conduct material take‑offs for active projects.
  • Order, release, and track materials as required.
  • Perform field observations and site visits on construction projects.
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong interest in construction, project management, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and field personnel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities.
