Civil Superintendent

Superintendent - Orlando - Heavy Civil Construction

Metric Geo are partnered with a leading heavy civil contractor in central Florida. This company are now hiring a superintendent to oversee heavy civil construction crews and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. This role is responsible for coordinating daily field operations, maintaining production goals, and enforcing safety standards across active job sites.

• Lead and supervise field crews on heavy highway construction projects
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with all safety procedures
• Coordinate daily work activities to meet production schedules and project milestones
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, grades, slopes, and drainage requirements
• Identify scheduling conflicts and coordinate with subcontractors and other crews
• Monitor crew productivity, workforce performance, and jobsite efficiency
• Approve material requests and maintain accurate daily reporting and employee time records
• Resolve field issues and support effective communication across project teams

• 3–5 years of experience in heavy civil construction leadership roles
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, slope work, and roadway construction
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of scheduling, planning, and field coordination
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work outdoors in demanding weather and active traffic environments
