Our projects typically range from $7M–$8M, and we work primarily with municipalities and counties, following FDOT specifications.
Position Overview

This role requires a hands-on leader who can plan, execute, and deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with FDOT standards.
Key Responsibilities

- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with FDOT specifications
- Lead, mentor, and develop field staff and crews

- Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and compliance
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documents
- Proactively plan work to ensure efficiency and project success
- Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders
- Be present and engaged in the field (hands-on leadership style)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil/road construction
- Strong knowledge of FDOT standards and specifications
- Experience managing projects in the $5M–$10M+ range (or larger)
- Background working with municipalities, counties, or public sector projects
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Stable work history (prefer candidates with 3–5+ years per role)
- Safety-focused mindset
- Experience on larger-scale projects ($50M+), with ability to adapt to mid-sized jobs
- Local to Central Florida
- Competitive salary ($140K–$155K)
- Performance bonuses
- 401(k) with 4% match
- Health insurance (75% employer-paid)
- Paid time off (starting at 2 weeks, increases with tenure)
- Stable schedule (primarily Monday–Friday)
- Long-term career growth with a company scaling rapidly
Team-oriented, family-style environment
- Long-tenured employees (many with 10–15+ years)
- Leadership that values and invests in employees
- Opportunities for growth as the company expands
- Resume review
- Virtual interview with MLB & Associates
- In-person interview with hiring company
