Job Summary
The Town of Basalt is hiring a Chief Building Official. This role is a key member of the Town’s development services team and is responsible for all aspects of the building review process, including plan review and inspection.
CompensationHiring Range: $100,213 – $140,298.
QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related field from a four‑year accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license and obtain ICC certifications (Building Official; Plans Examiner – Residential and Commercial; and Building Inspector – Residential and Commercial) within six months of hire.
