This is more than a traditional estimating role. As our Senior Construction Estimator, you will play a key role in shaping our product portfolio and supporting the continued growth of the company. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help ensure our homes are accurately priced, efficiently designed, and positioned for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and comprehensive cost estimates for residential projects.
  • Develop and maintain budgets for floor plans, options, upgrades, and subdivisions.
  • Create and maintain budget templates for new plans and communities.
  • Analyze costs and identify opportunities for value engineering and improved construction efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the design team to evaluate new floor plans, materials, and product offerings.
  • Manage option and upgrade pricing across communities and product lines.
  • Maintain pricing databases and ensure accuracy and consistency across projects.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate competitive pricing and long-term agreements.
  • Support purchasing initiatives and provide ongoing cost analysis and forecasting.
  • Partner with development, sales, construction, and design teams to align project costs with business objectives.
  • Prepare reports and analyses to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications Required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, purchasing, preconstruction, or cost management.
  • Proven ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and building systems.
  • Experience developing and managing project budgets and pricing for multiple floor plans or communities.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  • Experience with estimating, purchasing, or construction management software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience negotiating vendor pricing and long-term agreements.
  • Knowledge of value engineering and cost‑efficient design strategies.
  • Experience supporting product development and new community planning.
