Position ObjectivesSupport the preconstruction team by performing takeoffs, analyzing subcontractor proposals, and contributing to detailed and conceptual estimates.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns.
- Review project details with coordinators to ensure solicitation and coverage from the proper subcontractors.
- Assist in subcontractor bid solicitation and evaluation.
- Identify and resolve design conflicts and missing information.
- Prepare scope comparison sheets and bid tabs.
- Support preparation of GMP proposals and cost narratives.
- Work collaboratively with internal preconstruction, operations team members as well as Owner and design team members.
- 3–7 years of estimating experience within the construction industry.
- Proficient in takeoff and estimating software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
