Fire Alarm Estimator must demonstrate a strong ability to analyze project specifications and accurately estimate the costs associated with fire alarm systems, including equipment, labor, and materials.
- Reviewing bid documents, drawings, specifications, and scope requirements to understand project needs.
- Preparing complete and accurate estimates for fire alarm system installations, upgrades, and renovations.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, riser diagrams, specifications, and code requirements.
- Preparing comprehensive scopes of work for estimates and proposals.
- Utilizing estimating software to develop accurate and competitive project pricing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating fire alarm and life safety system projects.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, life safety systems, and applicable codes and standards.
- Proven experience reviewing bid documents, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience utilizing estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with major fire alarm manufacturers, including Notifier, Fire-Lite, Siemens, Edwards/EST, Gamewell-FCI, and Simplex.
