Health & Safety Coordinator

Full Time Orlando, FL, US

Work on Events the World Talks About

At Arena, we turn bold ideas into unforgettable experiences. Our teams design, build, and deliver world‑class event spaces for global names like Formula 1, the Ryder Cup, and the PGA Tour — and we do it on some of the biggest stages in the world.

With projects across the US, UK, Middle East, and Asia, you’ll gain hands‑on experience, work with industry experts, and see your work come to life in real time. If you’re looking for a fast‑paced environment, real responsibility, and the chance to be part of something exciting from day one, Arena is the place to grow your career.

You’ll Love This Role

  • The safety presence behind some of the world’s biggest events — where your eye for hazards keeps crews safe and multimillion-dollar projects on track
  • A true boots‑on‑the‑ground role: site inspections, incident investigations, safety orientations, and toolbox talks — not a desk‑bound compliance job
  • Real ownership of safety culture — you’ll be the go‑to safety resource across project sites, warehouses, and live event operations
  • A front‑row seat to how events like the F1 Grand Prix and PGA Tour actually come together, from pre‑construction through strike
  • A company that promotes from within and rewards people who take ownership and sweat the details

How You’ll Support the Structure

  • Partner with the HSEQ team, Project Managers, Operations, and Field Teams to build safety into project planning and ensure site‑specific safety plans are in place before mobilization
  • Support incident, SIF, and PSIF investigations — complete documentation, determine root causes, recommend corrective actions, and share lessons learned across the organization
  • Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks to field personnel, subcontractors, and new hires; identify training needs and help develop safety education programs
  • Ensure proper selection, use, and maintenance of PPE across all sites — enforce compliance and address violations promptly
  • Maintain safety documentation including daily field reports, inspection logs, training records, and OSHA compliance files
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to confirm they meet Arena’s safety submittal requirements and site‑specific safety plans

The Foundation You Already Have

We’re looking for a hands‑on safety professional who leads from the field, builds trust with crews, and holds the line on compliance.

  • 2+ years of construction safety experience with hands‑on hazard recognition and compliance enforcement
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, hazard identification, and corrective action processes
  • Clear, effective communication — comfortable delivering safety training, engaging field crews, and working across departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) with accurate record‑keeping under active job site conditions
  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather, navigating active job sites, lifting up to 50 lbs., and traveling 25–40% to project sites across the U.S.
  • High school diploma

Bonus Points If You Have These

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional safety certifications such as ASP or CHST
  • Experience in event production, temporary structures, or other project‑based outdoor operations
