Construction Estimator | Earthwork, Utilities & Paving | Multi-Entity Contractor
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
A bit about us:We’re hiring a Construction Estimator for a multi-entity contractor specializing in complete site development (paving, underground utilities, earthwork) throughout Central Florida. With more than 40 years in business, the company partners with general contractors, owners and developers on commercial projects ranging from smaller site packages to large, complex developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with 2+ years of civil construction experience and AGTEK experience who wants broader project exposure, direct access to experienced leadership and the opportunity to take on increasingly complex bids.

- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial site development projects
- Use AGTEK Earthwork for quantity takeoffs, cut-and-fill calculations and site analysis
- Review civil drawings, project specifications, bid documents and geotechnical reports
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, grading, underground utilities, paving, concrete and finish scopes
- Develop pricing for labor, equipment, materials and subcontracted work
- Evaluate material, vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Build and maintain detailed bid spreadsheets
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, cost risks and potential project challenges
- Participate in bid reviews directly with the Chief Estimator
- Visit proposed project sites when needed to support accurate bidding
- Communicate with general contractors before and after bid submission
Track submitted bids and follow up on project status - Review contracts and scopes with leadership following project award
- Support a smooth handoff from estimating to project management
- Manage multiple bids and deadlines within a fast-paced estimating environment
- 2+ years of estimating experience in site development, excavation or civil construction
- Hands-on AGTEK experience is required
- Experience estimating earthwork, grading, underground utilities, paving or concrete scopes
- Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans, specifications and geotechnical information
- Understanding of quantity takeoffs and construction cost components
- Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple bids and competing deadlines
- Comfortable communicating with general contractors, vendors, subcontractors and internal project teams
- Heavy Bid experience is helpful but not required
