Position: Construction Manager (E3)

Construction Manager

You will be the Construction Manager for the Construction Team. Our team is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of new or expanded facilities. What You Will Be Doing As the Construction Manager you will be responsible for leading construction projects from concept through completion, ensuring design quality, schedule adherence, and cost control. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and functional studies.
  • Select, obtain, and supervise General Contractors and Sub-contractors.
  • Conduct construction surveillance to verify compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Provide engineering consulting services to local and divisional offices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction or engineering-related fields or a minimum of 3 years' experience in Construction or Project Management.
  • Have an understanding of building systems, materials and reading architectural/engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work effectively with customers, staff and management.
  • Problem-solving for on-site project issues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for multi-tasking.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Desired Skills

  • Commercial construction project/project management or equivalent experience with 5+ years total professional experience.
  • Have an understanding of solicitation for proposal, evaluation of proposals, labor and material cost breakdown analysis, invoicing and contract closeout.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts including project schedules, scope, cost, risk and deliverables.
  • Demonstrates ability to write effective Statements of Work.
  • Successful budget control and execution of projects.
  • Experience providing high quality customer service.
  • Proficient in MS Office software programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining project milestones, design and construction cost estimates, and detailed Gantt chart schedules.
  • Risk management experience and cost spend projections.
  • Prepare and maintain project status and cost reports.
  • Respectfully dispute resolution with Suppliers.
  • Effective change management.

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
