W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor is hiring a Project Manager for their Orlando construction (plan & spec) team. You'll run 8–12 concurrent commercial projects in the $2M–$6M range for clients spanning theme parks and attractions, hospital systems, and commercial developers across the Orlando/Daytona market.
W.W. Gay is a $400M, 1,200-person, employee-owned (ESOP) mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing contractor with nine offices across Florida and South Georgia. Their Orlando region is actively growing and scaling its construction portfolio.
What you'll do- Manage multiple commercial projects end to end: planning and design through procurement, installation, commissioning, and closeout
- Own project budgets, monthly progress billings, AR follow-up, and forecasting
- Price, track, and communicate change order requests, and support contract review
- Lead submittals, purchase orders, subcontracts, and RFIs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, CM firms, and owners
- Partner with Field Operations on labor planning and with Estimating on bid accuracy
- Travel regionally to review active projects in the field
- Assist with mentoring early-career project managers and coordinators
This role is an individual contributor today, with a clear path into people leadership as the region grows.
What you'll bring- 5+ years managing commercial construction projects, mechanical/HVAC preferred
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- A blend of plan & spec construction and service work
- Union labor experience — Local 295, Local 803, or comparable (preferred)
- Proficiency in COINS, Procore, or similar construction ERP and project management platforms
- Comfort working both strategically and hands-on, with limited direction
- ESOP participation: you build equity in the company you help grow
- Company vehicle
