- Direct overall field installation for one or more assigned projects
- Own responsibility for field labor safety and morale, labor coordination, quality, and production
- Represent the Company on the project site and ensure installation satisfies the contracted scope
- Ensure quality installation of projects
- Review submittals and installation/operations manuals for accuracy and compliance
- Identify potential change orders related to scope and schedule
- Manage customer relations
- Conduct weekly safety meetings
- Attend cost/job reviews
- Schedule manpower and hire workers
- Interpret plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions
- Review material take-offs, tool orders, and equipment rental requisitions
- Coordinate installation between trades and subcontractor progress
- Ensure on-site employees comply with OSHA standards and company work rules
- Schedule equipment deliveries with project management and the GC, and inspections by governing authorities
- Monitor labor reporting and production tracking; approve timesheets and four-week look-ahead plans
- 10+ years of experience as a superintendent on commercial construction projects in Mechanical/Plumbing/HVAC
- Experience in construction of large mechanical projects with contracts exceeding $10 million
- Well versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- State Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing Contractors License (preferred)
- Medical gas certification (preferred)
- Large ($20M+) commercial construction experience (preferred)
- Experience with prefabrication (preferred)
- Experience with P6 Primavera (preferred)
- Travel 0–5% of time to job sites/office locations
- Prolonged periods of walking jobsites
- Climbing stairs
- Remaining stationary, often kneeling, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
- Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers
- Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in elevated and/or cold temperature environments for prolonged periods
Demonstrates extensive experience in managing large mechanical construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality installation, and effective labor coordination. Proficient in interpreting plumbing and HVAC drawings, with strong communication skills to manage customer relations and coordinate between trades.
