EVENT PRODUCTION INTERN

XL Event Lab is to offer young individuals looking to start their career in the events industry an opportunity to work with our team as an Event Production intern. The successful candidate will provide production and administrative support for a series of touring event experiences operating in North America and beyond.

Our Company

We design and execute experiences for an expanding base of customers and oversee a portfolio of established events in various markets. Selling both to entertainment buyers and directly to the ticket buying public, XL Event Lab typically produces over 500 events in an average year.

The Role

Working under the direction of the Head of Production, the Event Production Intern will be responsible for a variety of different tasks during the course of a typical working week. Each of these tasks will be essential to the successful execution of the company’s busy schedule of events and so a keen eye of detail and the ability to work to deadlines will be key skills that you will be able to develop during this internship.

Event Production Interns are an important and highly valued layer of our Production team and this role provides a great opportunity for anybody keen to make their mark within the events industry.

Primary Responsibilities

• Liaising with the Head of Production to establish priorities and needs for the working day
• Supporting the production team in booking all event production elements
• Maintaining budgets and ensuring that all expenditure is brought in within these budgets.
• Research, procurement and purchasing of consumable items required by each event.
• Various administrative tasks and data management required as part of the wider Event Production process
• Providing regular reports on all progress to senior management

Requested Skills

• Fluent spoken and written English
• Experience in an English speaking administrative role.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast paced environment
