Responsibilities

Margaritaville at Sea is seeking a highly creative and driven Videographer/Editor to bring our brand to life through compelling travel and lifestyle content. This hands-on role is ideal for a visual storyteller who thrives on capturing unforgettable moments, crafting engaging narratives, and producing high-quality content that resonates across You Tube, social media, and digital platforms.

The ideal candidate will travel alongside our team to document onboard experiences, destination highlights, special events, and behind-the-scenes moments, transforming raw footage into inspiring stories that drive audience engagement and encourage travelers to book their next cruise vacation. This is a full-time independent contractor (1099) position that requires frequent domestic and international travel, often working in dynamic and fast-paced environments. If you have a creator mindset, excel under tight deadlines, and understand what makes audiences stop scrolling and take action, we’d love to hear from you.

Essential Functions:
  • Proactively identify and capitalize on emerging social media trends, formats, sounds, and cultural moments, translating them into timely, brand-relevant content that increases reach, engagement, and shareability while maintaining the Margaritaville at Sea brand voice.
  • Lead videography and editing support for the Becoming Beachcomber documentary series, capturing the build-and-launch story of Beachcomber across a six-episode series hosted by the Cruise Director.
  • Produce Tips Before Sailing content featuring practical pre-cruise guidance designed to educate guests, answer common questions, and reduce friction before embarkation.
  • Capture and edit Destination Diaries / ShoreX Spotlights, creating cinematic, inspiring stories around ports, destinations, excursions, and experiences guests can explore ashore, including content captured during repositioning opportunities.
  • Produce Same Boat Performer Spotlights featuring onboard talent through engaging vignettes highlighting their performances, careers, personalities, and accomplishments.
  • Develop Crew Stories that showcase the people behind the Margaritaville at Sea experience through authentic, human, behind-the-scenes storytelling.
  • Capture and edit Guest Testimonials, featuring real guest experiences, reactions, and stories that build trust, excitement, and social proof.
  • Produce the Heroes at Sea series, spotlighting program participants, their stories, and the causes and communities connected to the program.
  • Create Secrets of the Ship content providing behind-the-scenes access to areas and operations guests do not typically see, including the bridge, kitchens, engineering, logistics, and other ship operations.
  • Produce Architectural & Wayfinding content, including cabin tours, public-space walkthroughs, ship orientation videos, deck-by-deck content, and drone footage where appropriate and permitted.
Qualifications:

Experience:
  • 5+ years of professional videography and video editing experience, preferably in travel, lifestyle, hospitality, tourism, or branded content environments.
  • Strong portfolio of work showcasing travel, lifestyle, documentary, You Tube, or social-first content with demonstrated storytelling ability.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, including editing, audio mixing, color correction, and content delivery across multiple platforms.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom for motion graphics, asset creation, and photo editing.
  • Experience operating professional mirrorless and cinema camera systems, with the ability to capture high-quality footage in a variety of environments.
  • Strong understanding of videography fundamentals, including lighting, composition, audio capture, color grading, and visual storytelling.
