Parts Counter Representative

Provides assistance to customers who wish to purchase parts at the parts counter or via telephone. Orders, receives, and distributes equipment parts on behalf of customers.

• Complete purchase orders and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize industry data – including manuals and electronic data – to determine specific parts needed by customers and provide diagnostic assistance.
• Contact vendors to order parts.
• Review invoices to ensure parts received accurately reflect parts ordered on original requisition forms.
• Store parts in designated area and issue parts to service department/customers as needed.
• Maintain records of parts received and distributed; inventory parts in warehouse periodically.

• Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college/technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
