Monday-Friday 8am
-5pm + Overtime*
* ** POSITION SUMMARY*
* The Phone Bank Operator will take incoming calls from voters answering general information questions regarding the upcoming election.

** POSITION FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES*
* + Will answer incoming calls from the public

+ Will work directly with the public to update registration records

+ Assist voter with changing their party affiliation

+ Provide information on how to register to vote

+ Provide polling place information for early voting and election day

+ Answer basic questions regarding the voting process

+ Maintaining a professional manner and customer-oriented attitude at all times

+ Managing high pressure situations and rapidly changing priorities

+ Performing other duties as assigned

** SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS*
* + Non-partisan in all work related-duties and roles

+ Ability to organize and complete tasks with accuracy - strong attention to detail

+ Must be able to work electronic equipment and possess the ability to quickly learn new technologies

+ Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

+ Extensive PC knowledge with the ability to quickly learn in-house programs

+ High level problem-solving and critical thinking skills, especially in a fast-paced environment

+

Experience with customer service practices - flexibility, patience and community engagement

+ Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

+ Must be able to type at least 35 wpm
- Typing test will be administered.

** PREFERRED*
* + Knowledge of Orange County geography

+ Spanish/English bilingual speakers are encouraged to apply.

** WORKING CONDITIONS*
* The majority of the work will be performed indoors in an office-like setting. This position requires full-time hours within scheduled workweek, in addition to extended workdays and weekend work as needed, during election events, sometimes with little to no advance-notice.
