As a Dental Assistant, you'll work alongside General Dentists to provide comprehensive dental care for our Veteran population. You'll support a wide variety of procedures while ensuring patient comfort, maintaining the highest infection prevention standards, and helping deliver an outstanding patient experience.

• Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed (no more than 40 hours per week)
• Travel between sites may be required:
  Lake Nona (Orlando VA Medical Center), Viera VA Clinic, Daytona Beach VA Clinic, Lake Baldwin VA Clinic

• Graduate of a CODA-accredited Dental Assistant program
• Minimum 1 year of Dental Assistant experience
• Current BLS Certification
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to successfully complete the AMI credentialing process

• Utilize appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic, sexual orientations, lifestyles, and physical abilities.
• Deliver targeted, culturally appropriate information to help individuals and groups understand health promotion and disease prevention information, policies, regulations, and local code.

The candidate’s offer is contingent upon completing a criminal background investigation, reference, and credentialing (where applicable) check. These pre-employment checks may include fingerprint checks, local law enforcement agency checks, credit checks (for employment purposes only), and education and professional licensure checks. Additionally, the company may require security clearance and other U.S. Government checks depending on the specific contract the candidate may work.

Candidates will be given full details on which background check is required and separate forms to complete to sanction these checks.
