Dental Assistant – Orlando, FL
A dental practice is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and the clinical team in providing efficient, high-quality patient care. The role involves chairside assistance, patient preparation, diagnostic support, infection control, and maintaining an organized clinical environment. This opportunity is well suited for a Dental Assistant who values teamwork, patient care, and continued professional development.
Responsibilities- Assist dentists with a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare patients and operatories before and after appointments
- Take dental X-rays and support diagnostic procedures
- Obtain and document patient medical histories
- Assist with patient charting and treatment documentation
- Take dental impressions and bite registrations as needed
- Perform digital intraoral scans when required
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and pre- and post-treatment care
- Support smooth patient flow throughout the practice
- Maintain infection control and workplace safety standards
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide quality patient care
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as needed
- Active Registered Dental Assistant license or applicable credential
- Current CPR certification
- At least 6 months to 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and sterilization practices
- Ability to perform or assist with dental radiography as permitted by applicable requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop additional clinical skills
