Hybrid: 3 days in-office per week
We are seeking an experienced Job Captain to support architectural and residential projects from design through construction documentation. This role plays a critical part in coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing project execution, and ensuring all deliverables meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically strong, and comfortable collaborating across design, engineering, and architectural operations teams. This position offers opportunities to expand skills through special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & Execution
- Manage multiple architectural projects simultaneously, including construction documents, lot‑specific plans, and revisions
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards
- Review and interpret construction documents and applicable building codes
- Identify, collect, and analyze relevant project information to support decision‑making
- Maintain accurate project documentation and data management
- Follow established workflows, standards, and development procedures
- Collaborate regularly with Design, Engineering, and Architectural Operations teams
- Coordinate with external consultants and internal stakeholders
- Support design teams in evaluating design initiatives, options, styles, and details
- Participate in discovery and design phases for new technology or process initiatives
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members across departments
- Lead and engage project team members through knowledge sharing and best practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and help resolve project roadblocks
- Assist with the creation, governance, and refinement of standards and procedures
- Support senior leadership with limited business analysis and project insights
- Associate degree or equivalent vocational/technical certification
- 5+ years of related experience, including at least 2 years in project or people management
- Strong architectural and construction knowledge
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
, Microsoft Excel
, and Microsoft Word - Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and external consultants
- Ability to read and understand construction codes
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention‑to‑detail skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in the office 3 days per week (additional days may vary by department)
- Bachelor of Architecture
- Experience with Sketch Up and/or BIM 360
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with distributed or remote teams
