Hoefer Welker has an opening for a Project Manager. This position will report to the Principal-In-Charge. We are seeking someone with experience in Civic, Commercial, Healthcare, and Government market sectors. Key responsibilities include project management, planning and design, design team leadership, client and consultant coordination, and budget, scope, and schedule compliance. Applicants should have a thorough understanding of design requirements, codes, standards, and current trends.
Responsibilities- Lead and communicate with subcontractors and vendors for the successful execution and delivery of projects.
- Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team, including leadership development and mentoring of staff.
- Assist senior management in developing and validating project scope and fee, budget, scope of services, and consultant contracts.
- Consult with clients to determine function and special requirements and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Provide complete and timely communication of project information between client, internal project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure project details and critical issues are managed at all levels of contract administration.
- Manage projects using Deltek Vision tools; develop work plans including budget, scope, consultants, schedule, fees, costs, and additional services.
- Assist in preparation of project presentations and conduct schematic, design development, and contract document sessions with clients and consultants.
- Review documents for adherence to building and accessibility codes; ensure project documentation and contracts comply with Hoefer Welker standards.
- Ensure construction document adherence to design intent and financial profitability of projects.
- Initiate and adhere to the Quality Assurance Program throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify new business opportunities and nurture current client relationships.
- Participate in select marketing and business development opportunities and assist in fee proposal development.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors, and applicable agencies.
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent education/experience;
Master's degree preferred. Minimum 10–15 years of experience as a project manager in architectural practice across project phases. Experience in design-build and developer-driven work is preferred. Experience on Commercial, Healthcare, or Government projects is required.
- Architectural registration required with current license; NCARB registration preferred. LEED Green Associate accreditation desired.
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license and willingness to use a personal vehicle in the course of employment.
Proficiency in Revit, New Forma, and Microsoft Office. Deltek Vantagepoint knowledge is a plus. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, ability to work effectively in a team, meet deadlines, and strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material applications, and manufacturer-supplier applicability.
