Position Purpose

TAIT partners with artists, brands, IP holders and place makers to bring culture-defining, never-before-seen experiences to life. With a legacy of innovation spanning over 45 years, TAIT has grown from pioneering in rock 'n' roll concert staging to setting the global standard for extraordinary live events and experiences through cutting-edge technology, precision engineering, and creative design. TAIT’s 20 global offices have developed iconic productions and experiences in over 30 countries, all seven continents, and even outer space for renowned performers, theme parks, exhibits, and venues across the globe, including partnerships with Taylor Swift, Cirque Du Soleil, Royal Opera House, Nike, NASA, Bloomberg, Google, Beyoncé, and The Olympics.

The In‑Field Art Director leads visual direction, installation, and fabrication strategy for immersive TAIT experiences, translating creative concepts into fully realized physical environments. Working closely with on‑site teams, designers, vendors, and consultants, they serve as the on‑site creative authority and primary liaison between clients, the design studio, and operations to ensure cohesive execution and an exceptional guest experience.

From design development through completion, the In‑Field Art Director upholds the creative vision established by design leadership, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, narrative‑driven environments. They balance creative intent with technical, safety, and operational requirements, reviewing drawings, fabrication packages, and installations while identifying and resolving challenges through clear visual communication, mark‑ups, and sketches.

The ideal candidate brings strong creative leadership, technical expertise, and collaborative skills, contributing to client presentations and clearly articulating design concepts and decision‑making. As a representative of TAIT’s creative team, they build trusted partnerships, mentor on‑site teams, and foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence, consistently elevating project outcomes and client satisfaction.

They should be a confident team player who works closely with project management and the broader design team to create designs that align with—and elevate— the guest experience. Additionally, they will play a key role in supporting client presentations by clearly articulating the creative vision and rationale behind design decisions.

As an In‑Field Art Director, they will work independently on projects alongside a wide team of designers, fabricators, vendors, and contractors. Acting as the creative agent on site, they will uphold and represent the project vision and objectives established by the broader design leadership. They will attend vendor and client meetings as a representative of the project team, review vendor and partner drawings, and identify revisions necessary to support facility requirements and technical integration.

The In‑Field Art Director communicates confidently with clients, vendors, and partners as a representative of TAIT and the larger creative team. They help strategically resolve creative challenges in collaboration with vendors and partners, offering design solutions through quick sketches or other visual tools to clearly convey intent. They are expected to perform all assigned duties in accordance with company policies, standards, and expectations.
