Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Orlando, FL, for a Transplant Hepatologist. The Transplant Hepatologist will be responsible for diagnosing and managing liver diseases, evaluating liver transplant candidates, and providing post-transplant care. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, conducting clinical procedures, and ensuring compliance with medical and ethical standards. Additional tasks include participation in clinical research, contributing to patient education, and guiding junior medical staff and trainees.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Hepatology and liver transplantation, with board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.
- Clinical experience in diagnosing and treating liver diseases, as well as managing pre- and post-transplant care.
- Strong knowledge of medical procedures relevant to hepatology, including liver biopsies, endoscopic interventions, and related techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Research experience and a commitment to advancing medical knowledge in hepatology and transplantation.
- Compliance with all medical and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and safety protocols.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Florida and ability to obtain VA credentials.
