Consultant Pain Management Specialist - Dhabi

Job Description

A leading government-affiliated healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Consultant Pain Management Specialist to join its multidisciplinary pain and rehabilitation service. The role suits a consultant with strong interventional and multidisciplinary pain management experience and a commitment to improving patients' quality of life for acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain.

• Provide consultant-level assessment and management of patients with acute, chronic, and complex pain conditions
• Deliver interventional pain procedures within scope of practice, including but not limited to:
• Epidural and facet joint injections
• Nerve blocks and radio frequency ablation
• Spinal and musculoskeletal pain interventions
• Manage cancer-related pain in collaboration with oncology, palliative care, and multidisciplinary teams
• Develop and oversee individualised, multimodal pain management plans
  , including pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches
• Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and procedural lists
• Work closely with anaesthetics, orthopaedics, neurology, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and psychology services
• Contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in on-call duties as per departmental rota (if applicable)
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory, ethical, and clinical governance standards

• Board-certified / specialist-registered Consultant Pain Management Specialist
• Background in Anaesthesiology, Pain Medicine, or related speciality with recognised subspecialty training in Pain Management
• Eligibility for Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) Consultant licensure
• Minimum 3 years post-specialist / consultant-level experience in pain management
• Proven experience in interventional pain procedures
• Strong multidisciplinary and patient-centred approach to care
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• High standards of professionalism, ethics, and clinical governance

• 70K-90K AED monthly
• Annual return flight to the home country
